Dr. Nadia A. DuBose (she/her)

Nadia A. DuBose, Ed.D. is an equity-centered strategist, applied researcher, educator, and facilitator with over 20 years of experience advancing systems-level change across education, healthcare, and community-based organizations. She is the Co-Founder and Principal of The Creative Discourse Group (TCDG), a Black and LGBTQ+ woman-owned certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), where she leads statewide strategic planning, organizational equity assessments, and community-engaged research initiatives across Vermont and beyond.

Nadia is a visionary leader committed to supporting transformative change through collaborative learning, dialogue, and engagement processes that center and uplift the voices and lived experiences of those historically marginalized, particularly communities of the Global Majority. She is widely recognized for her ability to translate qualitative data and community insight into actionable strategy, policy, and systems change. Her work spans sectors including early childhood systems, maternal health, education, housing, and regional planning.

Nadia holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Vermont, where she developed The Triple Burden Framework, an original conceptual model examining how race, gender, and systemic inequities intersect to shape the lived and professional experiences of Black women leaders in predominantly white institutions. Her research continues to inform her work as a strategist, facilitator, and educator.

As a qualitative researcher, Nadia specializes in community-engaged methodologies that center storytelling, lived experience, and non-traditional forms of data. She brings deep expertise in designing and leading research and engagement processes that challenge dominant assumptions about data validity and elevate community knowledge as a critical driver of decision-making.

In addition to her doctoral work, Nadia holds a Master of Arts in Kinesiology (Sport Management) from San José State University, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Saint Michael’s College, and a Graduate Certificate in Leadership from Champlain College.

Nadia also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Champlain College and has taught at the University of Vermont, where she designs and delivers courses in human communication, intercultural communication, race and racism in the United States, and sport in society. Her teaching bridges theory and practice, helping students connect academic concepts to real-world contexts and develop the critical thinking skills needed to navigate complex and diverse environments.
