TCDG & BBF: Listening to Families, Shaping Policy

Participants in a community conversation to inform Vermont’s Strategic Plan for Children

The Creative Discourse Group is proud to partner with Building Bright Futures (BBF) to support deep, equity-focused community engagement as Vermont develops its 2026–2030 Early Childhood Strategic Plan. We designed and facilitated a series of Community Conversations that prioritized the voices of families—particularly those most impacted by systemic inequities. Working closely with BBF and their local partners, we created engagement strategies, developed discussion guides, and captured insights from nearly 200 participants across the state.

Our 15-page report synthesizes what we heard, and a companion one-page summary was created to ensure families who shared their time and stories can see themselves reflected in the process and outcomes.
